My Past Week in a Nutshell

It has been a generally boring week compared to my previous weeks. Woke up at the same grumpy mode everyday. Slept at the same late hour. Nothing new really. My highest moment was probably when I learned about Nic’s “good news” about our training agreement. I could not tell when my lowest moment was because I was generally in low spirits last week. I’m soooo emo.

Anyway, I watched 2012 with Dion last.. uhm.. ah.. Tuesday? Not sure. Haha. It was a must-see movie for everyone. It would make you appreciate life and the people in it. Haha. It was a typical end of the world movie with prodigal sons making peace with parents, with cruise ships sinking, and with families praying together but eventually dies. What made it different is the cause of the end. Movement of the Earth’s inner something caused the movement of the magnetic something that eventually led to the movement of the Earth’s South pole from Antartica to Wisconsin. Great. The highest peak became the deserts of Africa and the whole Hawaii became molten lava. Great. The effects were superb. I was involuntarily at the edge of my seat when Jackson’s limo was speeding away while the whole California breaks down into rumbles. Great. I was in the verge of saying the worst of all expressions while Jackson and son remove the trapped hose in between the wheels of the ship’s gates. Great. I was in awe when the ship opened to reveal a whole new world with nothing but water and few land mass. Great. After the movie, I thought, if it was all true, what would the world be after? Would they re-build the Pyramids of Egypt? If so, who would be the Egyptians and who would be the poor Israelites? Would they paint a new Mona Lisa? If yes, would they put eyebrows on her already? They didn’t show in the movie whether celebrities were saved. Who would be Paris Hilton? Oprah Winfrey? Aling Dionisia? Manny Pacquiao? It would be a boring world after the end. Haha. Kidding (not naman funny). Oh well, just watch the movie. A must-see. 

Aside from 2012, I made myself busy this week reading Yann Martel’s Life of Pi. It’s been a month and still I haven’t reached it middle part. I still could not understand why it had sold millions of copies. I still don’t know why it was talked about. For the first part, it was a drag. For the middle part, it was quite entertaining especially when Pi narrates how he tried to save his life and plot against the animals in the lifeboat. I’ll read it again after this. I have to finish it this week. Aja! Haha.

I want to shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bow. Haha.

I’ve been browsing through friends’ pages in Facebook and I noticed that most had already listed their wants for Christmas. I’ve initially made my Christmas Wishlist so here’s some of it:

1. JOB. I’d be unemployed in two weeks. I would be in desperate need of a job by January when, according to my calculations, my financial resources would have been all used up.

2. IPOD NANO. My IPod Mini from Kong Rodel is now in the verge of reporting me to DSWD for harassment and DOLE for overuse. It has been a tough year for him. He was with me throughout the long bus rides to Manila. He was with me during my lonesome cold nights in Blue Boz. He used to be the world to me. I even bought him new in-ear buds so he’d have someone new to slack with. Until last week, when he just hanged and laid dead in my bag. I’ve never heard from him since then. I tried reviving him but it had no effect. Eventually, when he responded to my continuous plea for his life. He turned up but sadly, it lost all our best memories… Poor IPod. So, that’s why I am hearing out the resounding plea of my ears to have a new partner in life. An IPod Nano it is. Haha.

3. MEMORY STICK. This is so easy to explain why. My Sony H50’s memory stick got corrupted. I formatted it but it still won’t store any pictures so I dumped it. I got my PSP’s memory stick and deleted all my games and saved data so I’d use this stick from my camera. Now, my PSP is stickless and powerless. I really have to have that 8GB memory stick.
